Translation

Are you a prospective TAMU student? Do you have documents, such as diplomas and transcripts, in Arabic, Chinese or Japanese that you need to translate into English in order to gain admission into Texas A&M University? If the answer is YES, the Arabic and Asian Language Office at TAMU can assist you by reviewing and approving the translated documents that you need for admission. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Translate the document yourself into English to expedite the process;
  2. Bring the translated document to the Office of Arabic and Asian Languages along with the original document;
  3. After the translation is verified for accuracy by one of the AALO faculty members, you will need to make any correction (if needed), then type and e-mail the translated document to Carol Newsom at cnewsom@tamu.edu.
  4. Pick up the translated document after it has been signed and dated by AALO.

This service is free of charge.
